Shehbaz Sharif Says Nawaz Narrative Does Not Represent Party’s Beliefs


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) issued a statement on Sunday night, disprove all claims made by Nawaz Sharif regarding to the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

In a statement to local news Nawaz Sharif had given a statement on 2008 Mumbai Attacks that are very controversial. He said “Militant organisations are active. Call them non-state actors, should we allow them to cross the border and kill 150 people in Mumbai? Explain it to me. Why can’t we complete the trial?”

In response to the interview, PML-N said comments made by Nawaz are not the narrative of what the party believes.

Shehbaz Sharif, the president of PML-N after Nawaz Sharif was disqualified from the party’s presidency by the Supreme Court, said the remarks in Dawn’s report, attributed to PML-N’s Quaid Nawaz Sharif in a wrong manner, do not represent the party policy.

He also added that the PML-N rejects all statements made in the report.

Shehbad Sharif remarked that the Pakistan and all of its institutions stand together in the war on terrorism.

Shehbaz Sharif also stated that we all believe that the interests of our country are on a higher priority than any personal and political ones.

He said that there shall be no compromise on the interest of our country.

After the statement by Nawaz Sharif, the Indian Media has termed it as an admittance of Pakistan’s involvement in the Mumbai attacks in 2008. This statement has also caused a lot of backlash towards Nawaz and the party on media by other politicians.
