Sindh Government Decided To Fined Bikes Without Side Mirrors

The Sindh government made bike’s side mirrors mandatory. It has done to ensure the safety of motorcyclists as well as others on the roads.

Information Minister Saeed Ghani informs that the decision has taken during a meeting of the provincial cabinet. Meeting is chair by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

He said that keeping in view the important public issue of road traffic accidents, the Cabinet has approved a proposal to amend the Motor Vehicle Rules, 1969.

The Cabinet approved a proposal to amend the Motor Vehicle Rules 1969. It carry out due to the major public issue of road traffic accidents.

In addition, to wearing a helmet, every motorcyclist in the province will have to install a side mirror. It has decide to ensure their safety on the roads.

The Sindh Transport Department had suggested that the safety of road users was at risk as motorcycles did not have side mirrors.

As per reports of January, 80% of motorcyclists are involve in road accidents due to negligence.

DIG Mehboob Aslam said that the main reasons for the accidents were lack of headlights install in motorcycles.
