In a recent announcement, the Sindh government has decided to close all schools and colleges across the province on April 1, 2024, in observance of Youm-e-Ali (RA). This decision was made to honor the 21st of Ramadan, dedicated to commemorating the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA).
A notification issued by the School Education and Literacy Department of the Government of Sindh confirmed the closure of both public and private educational institutions on Monday. This holiday aligns with the traditions of solemn processions held nationwide to pay respects to Hazrat Ali (RA).
Moreover, the Sindh government is expected to declare a public holiday on April 4, 2024, marking the death anniversary of former Prime Minister and founder of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. This holiday will be observed across the province in remembrance of his significant contributions to the nation.
These decisions reflect the government’s commitment to acknowledging and honoring important religious and historical events, ensuring that citizens can observe these occasions with reverence and reflection.
