The Sindh Wildlife Department has officially unveiled the commencement of the hunting season within the province, which begins today, on Sunday, and is scheduled to conclude on March 3, 2024. This exciting opportunity is open to both local enthusiasts and foreign visitors who share an interest in bird hunting, but it comes with the requirement of obtaining a hunting permit, which can be acquired for a fee of $100. Each permit provides the holder the privilege to harvest up to 10 pheasants and 15 grouse.
The Sindh Wildlife Department’s guidelines state that hunting activities will be confined to Saturdays and Sundays and are to be conducted solely with authorized shotguns. It is crucial to note that hunting after sunset is strictly forbidden. The designated hunting areas encompass prominent regions like Kirthar National Park, various wildlife sanctuaries, cantonment areas, as well as PAF bases.
This season’s opening presents a unique opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to engage in a thrilling and regulated hunting experience while contributing to the preservation of local wildlife. Make sure to secure your hunting permit and adhere to the specified guidelines for a memorable and responsible hunting adventure in Sindh.
