The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has recently released its gas distribution timetable for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. The schedule is specifically designed to cater to the needs of the fasting population during the crucial hours of Sehri and Iftar.
As per the SSGC’s announcement, the gas supply will be ensured from 3:00am to 9:00am for Sahar, the pre-dawn meal before the fast begins, and from 3:00pm to 10:00pm for Iftar, the evening meal when the fast is broken. This means that the residents of Sindh and Balochistan will have access to this essential commodity for a total of 13 hours each day during Ramadan.
This announcement comes as a relief to the residents who rely heavily on gas for cooking and other household chores. The SSGC’s initiative ensures that the people can prepare their meals without any disruption during the sacred month.
In a related development, Murad Ali Shah, the Chief Minister of Sindh, has issued instructions to the electricity distribution companies operating in the region. He has directed them to abstain from load-shedding during the Sahar and Iftar timings. This move is aimed at ensuring an uninterrupted power supply during these hours, enabling the residents to observe their fasts without any inconvenience.
