In a welcome announcement, the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has declared that there will be no gas loadshedding in Sindh, including Karachi, during the Eidul Adha holidays. This announcement, reported by ARY News on Sunday, brings a sigh of relief to residents as the uninterrupted gas supply is set to begin at midnight today and continue through June 18.
According to the SSGC’s statement, the gas supply will remain consistent throughout the Eid celebrations, ensuring that citizens can enjoy their festive meals and activities without any disruptions. However, the company has also indicated that the regular gas loadshedding schedule will resume from June 19.
Pakistan is set to celebrate Eidul Adha on June 17, following the sighting of the Zil Hajj moon on June 7. This significant Islamic holiday, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is observed by millions of Muslims worldwide. It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah. In honor of this occasion, Muslims perform special prayers, engage in acts of charity, and share festive meals with family and friends.
The decision to ensure a continuous gas supply during Eidul Adha will undoubtedly enhance the celebrations, allowing families to prepare traditional dishes and conduct their rituals without the inconvenience of gas shortages.
