Supreme Court asks Assets Details of Zardari, Musharraf in NRO Case


The Supreme Court asked for details of assets of Asif Ali Zardari and Pervez Musharraf in NRO losses case.

Supreme Court Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar sought assets details of two former presidents Asif Ali Zardari and Pervez Musharraf. He was hearing a case related to the recovery of losses occurred due to the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

CJP Saqib Nisar also asked ex attorney general Malik Qayyum to reveal details of his assets. The Supreme Court also ordered that all concerned persons should declare all of their assets. However, they should inform court about the abroad properties, foreign accounts, and offshore companies.

The three member bench comprised of CJP Saqib Nisar, Justice Ijazul Ahsan, and Justice Umar Ata Bandial. However, Advocate Feroz Shah Gilani, President of Lawers Foundation for Justice, filed a petition in the court. The petition is about the recovery of losses country suffered after the implementation of NRO.
