On January 11, 2026 Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi came to Karachi to chair a PTI rally. The festival attracted masses of people, which caused congestions in major highways. During his visit to Karachi, Afridi was put under blockades and containers by police so they could control the convoy and ensure security.
Sohail Afridi Karachi Visit and PTI Jalsa in Karachi
Sohail Afridi arrived in Karachi to lead a PTI jalsa in Karachi. He addressed supporters and led a rally from Gadap Town to Bagh-e-Jinnah. The event marked a key moment in PTI’s street movement across Sindh.
Afridi spoke directly to the public, criticizing the provincial government. He said the Sindh government created obstacles but the people removed them. He confirmed the PTI message will reach the country through a street movement.
Traffic Impact During Sohail Afridi Jalsa Karachi
The Sohail Afridi Karachi visit created severe traffic jam. To stop crowds, police blocked major crossroads to secure the rally. There were delays along roads in Numaish Roundabout, Rashid Minhas Road, University Road, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
Commuters reported travel times doubling. Cars and motorcycles moved slowly, and some areas experienced near-standstill conditions. Police had set containers and barriers along main routes, including Sir Shah Suleman Road and Karsaz.
Despite hurdles, Afridi led the PTI jalsa in Karachi successfully. Thousands attended and showed support. He thanked the people of Karachi and Sindh for joining. He emphasized no one can stop public participation or block a national leader unjustly.
Officials confirmed that the rally followed the conditional NOC issued by the Sindh government. The event highlighted both public support and the logistical challenges of a major PTI jalsa in Karachi.
