Thunderstorm, Rain in Karachi is expected from tomorrow, PMD

Pakistan Meteorological Department or PMD predicted the rain in Karachi later this week.

Rain in Karachi with thunderstorm is expected from Wednesday (tomorrow) as revealed by Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). However, the forecast for city came a few days after Karachis residents enjoyed 1st showers of winter season. the last week rain in Karachi also resulted in the power failure at different areas.

According to PMD, westerly wave is likely to hit western parts of Pakistan on Tuesday evening that will grip several areas on Wednesday and can also persist in upper areas till Thursday.

Rain-thunderstorm is expected at Sindh (Karachi, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Hyderabad and Larkana), Balochistan (Sibbi, Makran, Zhob, Naseerabad, Kalat, and Quetta) on Wednesday.

PMD also issued the landslide warning for Kashmir, Hazara, Malakand, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Wednesday and Thursday. The snowfall over hills is expected in Hazara division, Galliyat, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Kashmir and Malakand division (Chitral, Malamjabba, Swat, Upper Dir, and Kalam).
