Ticket prices to be reduced for International and national flights of PIA

As inflation has curled the country�s economy, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has reduced its international flight charges by 10pc.

A PIA official said, following the directives of Khawaja Saad Rafique, Aviation Minister, flight fares are reduced.� Further, the spokesperson added, the charges of the fares are reduced to 8pc for Canada and 15pc to United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Gulf nations. Moreover, for Saudi Arabia, it has been 10pc.

On Saturday, Rafique announced a 10pc deduction on domestic routes. The move was in particular to the reduction of the prices of petroleum products. For both the national carrier, and international, a 10 pc discount has been granted. Along, the same 10pc discount has been granted to the economy class fares of Pakistan Railways. Further, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) issued directives to private airlines to reduce their cost.
