In violation of terminal regulations, intercity buses have been identified to enter the city with e-ticket issued by Karachi traffic police. Violations of the law by drivers are punishable by law. Governments are cautious of such entries creating congestion, accidents, and inconvenience to the citizens. The operators are likewise informed to operate on designated terminals and to abide by the traffic regulations.
E-Tickets Issued for Terminal Violations
Traffic police have begun issuing e-tickets against all intercity buses that bypass Sohrab Goth and Karachi bus terminals. Any bus entering the city directly in violation of terminal rules is subject to strict legal action.
Officials said drivers of violating buses face severe penalties. Repeated violations trigger additional measures.
The traffic police noted that allowing intercity buses into city streets creates traffic congestion. It also increases accident risks and causes difficulties for daily commuters. Authorities emphasize that compliance is critical for smooth city traffic.
There is strict order to all transport operators to use only specific terminals. Traffic laws have to be obeyed in totality. Failure to comply will result in prosecution as the police declare it unacceptable and they proceed to take the law into their own hands.
Authorities reminded operators that regulations are intended to ensure the safety of the people and to guarantee a normal flow of traffic. To avoid accidents and inconvenience to the citizens, drivers need to cooperate.
The enforcement will ensure that the people of Karachi can have a smoother road and less traffic problems. The measures are also meant to standardize the intercity transport activities, and enhance the safety of the people.
