New York: United Nations General Assembly or UNGA president Maria Fernanda Espinosa is expected to visit Pakistan in next few days.
UNGA president Maria Fernanda Espinosa will visit Pakistan from January 18 to 22. However, she is coming at the invitation of the Pakistani government.
Monica Grayley revealed at the UN headquarters in New York during the afternoon briefing that UNGA president will visit Pakistan from January 18 to 22. However, it will be her first official visit to the Asia Pacific region since she took charge of her position.
According to Spokesperson, Maria Fernanda Espinosa is looking forward to enhance the relations between the United Nations and Pakistan. However, the aim is to promote multilateralism and to continuing her work with Pakistan.
UNGA president will meet with Prime Minister Imran Khan, President Dr Arif Alvi, and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi. In addition, she will also meet the civil society and UN representatives during her visit.
