Weather in Ramadan 2025 in Pakistan: Rising Temperatures Expected in Last Ashra

As Ramadan 2025 approaches, weather experts have predicted fluctuating temperatures across Pakistan. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the first few days of the holy month will be relatively pleasant, but the last 10 days of Ramadan are expected to be significantly hotter.

PMD has forecasted that the temperature at the start of Ramadan is likely to be around 34 degrees Celsius. However, as the month progresses, the heat intensity will increase, and during the last ashra (last 10 days), the temperature may rise up to 40 degrees Celsius. This means that fasting individuals should take necessary precautions to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged sun exposure, especially in the afternoons.

Karachi Weather Update for Ramadan 2025

For residents of Karachi, the weather is expected to remain partly to completely cloudy this week, with temperatures reaching up to 32 degrees Celsius. While there is no prediction of rain in the city, the cloud cover may provide some relief during the early days of Ramadan.

Ramadan 2025 Start Date in Pakistan

The Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has provided insights into the expected beginning of Ramadan 2025. Based on astronomical calculations, the new moon is expected to occur at 5:45 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PST) on February 28, 2025. However, due to its low altitude and distance from Earth, it will be difficult to sight with the naked eye on the same evening.

SUPARCO further stated that the angle between the moon and the sun on February 28 will be just 7 degrees, making crescent visibility nearly impossible. Therefore, Ramadan 2025 in Pakistan is expected to start on March 2, 2025, with the first fast likely observed on that date.

Precautions for Ramadan 2025 Weather

Since the last 10 days of Ramadan are expected to be particularly hot, it is advisable to:

  • Drink plenty of water during sehri and iftar to stay hydrated.
  • Avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours.
  • Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothes to stay cool.
  • Keep homes well-ventilated and use cooling methods if necessary.

With the forecasted weather conditions, those observing Ramadan should be mindful of their health while maintaining their religious obligations. Stay updated with the latest weather reports to plan your daily activities accordingly.
