To enhance public service delivery, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched the ‘Maryam Ki Dastak App’ on Tuesday. This innovative app aims to bring essential government services directly to the residents of Punjab, streamlining processes and reducing the need for multiple visits to government offices.
Maryam ki Dastak App Services
The ‘Maryam Ki Dastak App’ offers a variety of services, including:
- Issuance of domicile
- E-stamping
- Birth and death certificates
- Marriage and divorce certificates
- Vehicle registration and transfer
- Tax payments
These services are accessible from the comfort of home, as government representatives visit households to handle documentation and deliver completed certificates right to the applicant’s door. This initiative addresses long-standing issues such as long queues, inconsistent information, and the influence of commission agents, providing a reliable and efficient doorstep service delivery system.
Easy to Use Portal
Citizens can schedule visits from government representatives through easy-to-use web portals or mobile applications, minimizing hassle and improving the overall experience. The app also includes a feedback and rating system to ensure accountability and continuous improvement, along with multiple online payment options for enhanced accessibility and convenience.
At the launch event, Maryam Nawaz emphasized the Punjab government’s dedication to easing the lives of its citizens. She highlighted that the ‘Maryam Ki Dastak App’ is a significant step in this direction. Additionally, she announced the creation of 70,000 jobs for youth through this platform, further underlining the app’s potential to drive employment.
Maryam Nawaz also pointed out other successful initiatives by the Punjab government, including the Ramadan package and the establishment of field hospitals. Now, essential medicines are being delivered to people’s homes, with cancer patients receiving two months’ worth of medication directly at their doorstep.
The chief minister affirmed her commitment to ensuring the effective delivery of these services, mentioning that she personally visits the ground to oversee operations.
