The Meteorological Department has forecasted upcoming weather changes across Pakistan, bringing relief amidst the scorching heat. Starting June 18, moist winds from the Arabian Sea are expected to sweep through the upper and central regions, ushering in cooler temperatures and rain.

Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir are likely to experience rain, accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms from June 18 to June 22. In KP, the weather will remain intensely hot and dry from June 16 to June 18, followed by possible dust storms and thunderstorms with rain in Chitral and Abbottabad from June 18 to June 22.

Similarly, Balochistan will experience extreme heat and dryness from June 16 to June 18, with chances of dust storms and sporadic rain in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, and Galyat from June 18 to June 22.

In Bahawalpur, Multan, and Khanewal, dust storms, gusty winds, and thunderstorms with rain are anticipated from June 20 to June 22. Meanwhile, Sindh will face scorching temperatures from June 17 to June 20, with a possibility of heavy rainfall in Sukkur and Jacobabad from June 21 to June 22.

From June 19 to June 22, a decrease in the prevailing heatwave is expected across various regions. The Meteorological Department has issued alerts to all concerned departments to stay vigilant during this period.
