The long-awaited approval of the 2025 Hajj Policy has been delayed once more, leaving many uncertain about the pilgrimage arrangements. A recent meeting in Islamabad, attended by federal cabinet members, aimed to discuss and finalize the Hajj policy. However, despite high expectations, the policy was not greenlit, and insiders suggest the matter will now be revisited in the next cabinet session.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, they’ve done their part by fully preparing the Hajj plan and submitting it to the cabinet. While this gives some hope that things are moving forward, the lack of a formal notification from the cabinet has caused further delays. Without this official nod, the policy cannot be rolled out, and aspiring pilgrims are left in suspense, wondering when the final guidelines will emerge.
This continuous delay in approval has raised concerns among those planning for Hajj, as they wait for clear instructions on quotas, costs, and travel arrangements. The Ministry of Religious Affairs assures the public that once the cabinet gives the green light, the policy will be officially announced.
For now, all eyes remain on the next cabinet meeting, hoping for a timely decision to provide pilgrims the clarity they’ve been seeking.
