Winter School Timings in Punjab: What Parents Need to Know

As the winter season approaches, authorities in Punjab have introduced new school timings to accommodate the changing daylight hours. Starting from October 16, 2023, these adjusted schedules aim to ensure both safety and effective learning for students.

For boys, the school day will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 2:30 p.m., with Fridays ending at 12:15 p.m. Meanwhile, girls will start at 8:15 a.m. and finish at 2:15 p.m., with Friday classes concluding at 12:00 p.m.

In double-shift schools, classes will commence at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 12:15 p.m. Additionally, evening classes will start at 12:30 p.m. and end at 5:00 p.m., with a slightly later start time of 1:30 p.m. on Fridays after the Jumma break.

These adjustments are geared towards ensuring students’ safety and well-being during the winter season. Stay updated for further announcements as these timings remain in effect until further notice.
