Last year, winter vacation was set from December 18 to 31, but parents and students urged for an extension due to the severe cold and heavy fog. Listening to these concerns, the provincial government extended the break until January 9, 2023, with classes resuming on January 10.
Looking ahead to this year, the Punjab government is expected to kick off winter holidays starting December 21, and schools may reopen on January 1, 2024. But the final say on the vacation schedule for all schools will be up to the relevant authorities.
