In a tribute to the Prophet’s son-in-law, Hazrat Ali Murtaza R.A, Karachi is hosting a grand procession today. The city has ramped up security measures to ensure a peaceful event.
Security barriers, in the form of containers, have been strategically placed along the procession’s path. Key locations such as the Taj Complex and Empress Market are among the areas where these containers have been set up.
A council meeting is scheduled at Nishtar Park at 10 am, featuring a keynote address by Allama Rehan Haider Rizvi. The procession, honoring Hazrat Ali’s day, will commence from Nishtar Park at 1 pm, making its way to Numaish Chowrangi.
Participants will observe Zohrain prayers at Numaish Chowrangi, marking a significant moment in the day’s events. The procession will then continue along the designated routes, concluding at Hussainian Iranian Kharadar.
To ensure the safety of all participants, the procession will be under constant surveillance with the aid of CCTV cameras. This measure further reinforces the city’s commitment to maintaining peace during this significant event.
