Karachi traffic police have issued a comprehensive traffic plan for Youm-e-Ali (RA) on March 22, coinciding with 21st Ramzan. The central procession will be held to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Ali (RA), with key roads in the city being temporarily closed and alternative routes in place to facilitate commuters.
Youm-e-Ali Juloos Route and Road Closures
The main congregation will take place at Nishtar Park, following which the central procession will commence at 1 PM. The juloos will pass through Numaish, M.A. Jinnah Road, Sea Breeze, Empress Market in Saddar, Saddar Regal, Tibet Centre, and return to M.A. Jinnah Road. The procession will conclude at Hussainia Imambargah in Kharadar via Bolton Market.
To ensure smooth proceedings, M.A. Jinnah Road will be closed for regular traffic from Guru Mandir to Tower. Traffic police will be deployed to manage diversions and guide commuters.
Alternative Routes for Commuters
- Nazimabad Traffic: Use Lasbela Chowk and Nishtar Road to reach the Garden area.
- Liaquatabad Commuters: Take Teen Hatti, Lasbela Chowk, and Central Jail routes.
- Hasan Square to PP Chowrangi Traffic: Diverted via Kashmir Road to Society Light Signal.
- Jail Flyover Traffic: Will be redirected towards Teen Hatti and Nishtar Road.
- Shahrah-e-Quaideen to Numaish Traffic: Rerouted towards Kashmir Road via Society Light Signal.
- Jamshed Road to Guru Mandir Traffic: Should use Bahadur Yar Jang Road and Soldier Bazaar for access.
