Zainab Murder Case: LHC will hear plea for Imran Ali public execution


Lahore High Court (LHC) will hear the petition related to the Imran Ali public execution in Zainab murder case.

In Zainab murder case, LHC will hear the plea of public execution of Imran Ali. However, he convicted the rape and murder of 7 year old girl.

Zainab’s father Haji Ameen filed the plea about the public execution of the convict. However, Imran Ali, Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Amjad Javed Saleemi, and provincial home secretary are respondents in plea.

The 2 member bench of high court is hearing the plea. However, Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan and Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi are included.

Ishtiaq Chaudhry, legal counsel of Zainab’s father appealed to the court for Imran Ali public execution. He maintained the stance that Imran is the serial killer.

Later, LHC issued the notice to Punjab home secretary and asked him to appear before the court on Tuesday (tomorrow). Imran, awarded 21 death sentences in the Zainab murder case. However, he will be executed on October 17 at the Central Jail in Lahore.

However, Imran Ali is allowed to meet with his family for the last time. However, the meeting will be held on Tuesday (tomorrow) at 12pm.
