Facebook announced that it is going to overhaul the key management positions due to the data leak scandal.
Facebook will do the management team shakeup and make changes in their top management. However, Mark Zuckerberg will remain the CEO. Sheryl Sandberg, COO, will be Mark’s second-in-command. Chris Cox becomes the incharge of Facebook’s core application. In addition, he will also look after Whatsapp and Instagram services.
The company also transformed the product and engineering teams into 3 different units. However, it also includes the division for emerging technologies that is highly focused on the blockchain technology. David Marcus will head this division. However, previously he was the incharge of Messenger. Now, Stan Chudnovsky will be the incharge of Messenger. Javier Olivan will be the incharge of central product services division that is associated with the ads and security.
Overall, job roles of around 12 executives have been changed. However, none of them reported being quitting the company.
