$8 to be charged for verifying accounts under Musk’s new Twitter policy

Elon Musk, the newly appointed Twitter head has made some new changes to Twitter policy. In a viral video, Musk was seen carrying a sink in a Twitter headquarters in San Francisco. Subsequently, after he took control, Musk fired some of the top officials including former CEO Parag Agrawal and other two executives.

Presently, Twitter will now charge $8 per month to verify unverified accounts. Musk has become the richest person by making a deal with Twitter for $44 billion. In a recent tweet, Chief Twit said, “Power to the people! Blue for $8/month,” The blue mark used to appear only on those verified accounts with a process according to Twitter policy. However, under the new policy, this shift has been changed.

Further, the blue feature is only limited to public figures. Musk added, the verified account would get priority in mentions, searches, and replies. This could be concluded, that the chief’s policies aims to defeat scams. The blue users will have an extraordinary experience that includes fewer ads, video abilities, and paywall bypass. Moreover, the blue subscribers will also get access to some news sites without ads.

The new Twitter policy will create space for content creators. The Social network company offers premium features like editing their tweets. In a reply to a tweet, Musk added that if any account was found in the scam the account will be suspended.
