President Alvi inaugurates National Cyber Security Academy

President Alvi inaugurates the first-ever National Cyber Security Academy in Islamabad. The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi also addressed at International Conference on Cyber Warfare and Security 2021 (ICCWS).

Pakistan�s first-ever National Cyber Security Academy is a collective effort of PAF, Air University, and HEC. President terms it as a historic occasion for the pursuit of excellence in Cyberspace. PAF would become an effective, ubiquitous, and highly responsive Cyber Force through effective industry-academia linkages supported by comprehensive R&D setups.

President Alvi was greeted at the conference venue by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu link, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. Moreover, Air Marshal (Retd) Javaid Ahmed, Vice Chancellor Air University, and Air Vice-Marshal Abbas Ghumman, Director General C4I PAF, also attended the event. Additionally, civil-military and foreign dignitaries were also present.

The main objective of the initiative is to produce Cyber security experts for Government, industry, public, and private sectors. Additionally, to address the emerging cyber security threats, The Pakistan Air Force intends to establish its own Cyber Command. It will aid by a Cyber Technology Park and a Cyber Center of Excellence under the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP).
