Pakistan’s First Mapping Service ‘TPL Maps’ to Improve Location-Based Services

TPL Maps to Improve Location-Based Services For Pakistani Users

Pakistan’s first ever mapping company, TPL Maps, has recently shared some exciting news related to their mapping venture. The company has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the global leader for drawing negotiations and location services. The news TPL Maps to improve location-based services has excited many users.

Senior Vice President and General Manager of HERE Technologies, Stefan Hansen has said, “Our MOU for a strategic partnership with TPL Maps is a major step in bringing these solutions to Pakistan and the region.”

Both of the teams met in Berlin to discuss the further possibilities of partnership TPL and HERE. They agreed to team up to establish a product under collaboration and technology partnership.

With this, the companies will work on a go-to-market strategy in the automotive industry in Pakistan.

“We are very excited with the collaboration opportunities with HERE Technologies. This MoU is the result of a lot of hard work in developing indigenous Pakistani maps and local expertise in location-based services,” said the CEO of TPL Maps, Adnan Shahid.

TPL Maps was established in 2016, and have already signed up a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with what3words (w3w), a global multi-award winning location technology company. The mission is to enable and help Pakistani users to help navigate different locations with maximum accuracy.

Although Google Maps have dominated Pakistan’s online mapping world, TPL Maps will be breaking the local market and soon will be able to act as a domestic alternative application to Google.
