WhatsApp Will Stop Working On These Smartphones from November

World�s most popular Instant Messaging App WhatsApp will stop working on various Android and iPhone models. Phones that are running on older versions of Android and iOS will lose WhatsApp support from 1st of November. The phones will be incompatible with the App and will no longer receive any support.

WhatsApp is ending its support for software versions older than Android OS 4.1, Apple’s iOS 10 and KaiOS 2.5.1. Users will have to upgrade their phones, or update the software version in order to continue using WhatsApp. Recently, the Facebook-owned Instant Messaging App has shared the list of software and Android/iOS models it would no longer support.

Apple iPhone

iPhone SE (first generation), iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will lose support for WhatsApp if they are not updated to iOS 10.

LG

The LG phones that will lose WhatsApp compatibility are, Lucid 2, Optimus F7, Optimus F5, Optimus L3 II Dual. Moreoever, Optimus F5, Optimus L3 II, Optimus L4 II, Optimus L4 II Dual, Optimus L5, Optimus L5 II, Optimus L5 Dual, Optimus L7, Optimus L7 II Dual, Optimus L7 II, Optimus F6, Enact, Optimus F3, Optimus L2 II, Optimus Nitro HD, Optimus 4X HD, and Optimus F3Q will also not get any future WhatsApp support.

ZTE

The ZTE Grand S Flex, ZTE Grand X Quad V987, ZTE Grand Memo, and ZTE V956 are among the devices to lose WhatsApp suppprt from the 1st of November.

Huawei

As Huawei already lost Google Android support, the following devices will have to let go of WhatsApp as well. The Huawei Ascend Mate, Huawei Ascend G740, Ascend D Quad XL, Ascend D1 Quad XL, Ascend P1 S and Ascend D2.

Sony

Three Sony phones are also on the list, Sony Xperia Miro, Sony Xperia Neo L and Xperia Arc S.

Samsung

Samsung phones that will go under the axe includes The Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy Trend Lite, Galaxy Trend II, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Ace 2 and Galaxy Xcover 2.

Others

The Alcatel One Touch Evo 7, the Archos 53 Platinum, the HTC Desire 500, the Caterpillar Cat B15, the Wiko Cink Five will have to let go of WhatsApp. Additionally, the Wiko Darknight, the Lenovo A820, the UMi X2, the Faea F1, the THL W8 are all other smartphones to lose WhatsApp support this year.

While these devices are reaching the end of WhatsApp’s support. However, it doesn’t imply the software will stop running on November 1st. Smartphones will no longer receive security upgrades or new features, resulting in the App becoming obsolete on these devices.
