Lahore: Shoaib Akhtar, former Pakistani speedster resigned from the post of Adviser to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman.
Shoaib Akhtar resigned with immediate effect from the post of Adviser to PCB Chairman. Today, Shoaib Akhtar tweeted from his official account that he has resigned from the PCB Chairman’s adviser post with immediate effect.
In February 2018, Shoaib Akhtar was appointed as the Adviser to PCB Chairman Najam Sethi. However, his resignation came two days after Ehsan Mani, elected as the new PCB chairman.
Ehsan Mani was elected unopposed and became the new PCB chairman. However, the decision came through the Board of Governors special meeting held in Lahore at Gaddafi Stadium.
Justice (retd) Syed Afzal Haider, Election Commissioner for PCB, chaired the meeting. However, during the last month, Prime Minister Imran Khan nominated Ehsan Mani as PCB governing board’s member.
