Lahore: Pakistani cricket superstars Babar Azam and Hasan Ali, who were included in the names of International Cricket Council’s (ICC) 2017 One Day International (ODI) team of the year, have finally received the ICC caps. Both cricketers were present in Lahore as the team is preparing for their anticipated test series with England and Ireland.

Babar, continued the start to his ODI career with a run of three centuries in as many innings against West Indies in late 2016. Babar has scored 26 percent of Pakistan’s overall runs in 2017, the highest proportion of any player to do so. In 21 matches, Babar scored 1,232 runs at an impressive average of 77.00. He scored seven centuries and two half-centuries.
Hasan Ali has played a total of 21 matches and bagged 48 wickets, including three five-wicket for Sarfraz XI. The Pakistani pacer, Hasan Ali, also achieved the player of the series award at the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. No bowler took more wickets in the middle overs in 2017 than Hasan’s 30 and he was rewarded for his beautiful performances with the ICC’s Emerging Cricketer of the Year award.
