Following the controversial removal of pacer Mustafizur Rahman from KKR, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has now officially refused to travel to India for the 2026 T20 World Cup, citing serious security threats.

BCB Refuses India Travel for T20 World Cup
In a late-night emergency meeting, the BCB confirmed its team will not play in India. They asked the ICC to move all matches to Sri Lanka. This decision follows a month of rising political tension. The board believes its players are not safe across the border.
The Mustafizur Rahman Controversy
The crisis started when Indian groups targeted KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan. They called him a “traitor” for signing the Bangladeshi pacer. In response, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia ordered KKR to release Mustafizur without a clear reason. Bangladesh’s sports ministry called this act “illogical” and an insult to the entire country.
