Lester: Fakhar Zaman is looking for the test debut at Lords Cricket Ground.

Fakhar Zaman displayed his skill with Red Ball by making 71 runs with 98 balls on the first day of the two-day practice against Lester Shire. He hit 14 fours and now he is looking to make his dream debut against England at Lords Cricket Ground. However, he will face tough competition for the opening position along with Azhar Ali and Imam ul Haq. Both Azhar and Imam played crucial innings. Imam ul Haq lead Pakistan to victory in the test match against Ireland. In addition, Azhar Ali played an innings of 73 runs against Leicestershire. However, Fakhar Zaman is hopeful for his test debut at the famous Lords ground.

Fakhar Zaman said that this depends entirely on coaches. He said that he is very optimistic but to see what coaches decide. If he becomes selected, he will definitely be very happy.

The opener said that he did not play Red Ball for about 6 months and the innings against Leicestershire was a bit different for him. However, since he was practicing red ball for a month, he did not get much trouble. He tried to play aggressively, but the host bowlers were bowling well and the wicket was difficult to score so he was waiting for the ball.

After the retirement of Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan, a gap has been created in the middle order. He said that Pakistan has the best middle order batsmen.
