Hasan Ali Defends Babar Azam, Urges Fans to Support Players After Karachi Kings’ Defeat

Karachi Kings’ vice-captain Hasan Ali has spoken out following his team’s loss to Lahore Qalandars in the ongoing PSL season. Addressing the media after the match, Hasan emphasized the need for constructive criticism rather than personal attacks and expressed his continued support for fellow cricketer Babar Azam.

“Constructive Criticism is Fine, But Personal Attacks Hurt” – Hasan Ali

Speaking at the post-match press conference, Hasan Ali said, “There’s no issue if criticism is meant for improvement, but when it turns into personal attacks, it hurts. Many times people hurl abuse from behind, and that affects us.”

Karachi Kings Struggle with Batting Collapse

Hasan Ali acknowledged Karachi Kings’ inconsistent performance, saying, “We won the first match well, but today our batting collapsed. We lost one or two wickets too easily, and couldn’t build partnerships. We’ll sit and figure out why there’s no consistency in performance.”

“We Made Babar Azam a King, Let’s Not Bring Him Down”

In a strong statement of support, Hasan defended Babar Azam from recent criticism, saying, “Babar is our own product. We made him a king and now we’re trying to bring him down. If someone was offended by my comment ‘The king will do it’, I apologize. But Babar is still the best player, and he will make a comeback.

Hasan also discussed his personal ambitions, stating, “My job is to perform. I had a good National T20. If we perform, we’ll play for Pakistan. My mindset is clear — I want to make a comeback. I’m still young and can deliver.”

Hasan Ali highlighted the importance of fan support and quality performance, adding, “People want to watch good cricket. If we play well, the fans will come. I’ve heard that it’s hard for people to attend matches in Karachi, but strong performances will bring them back.”

Concluding the conference, Hasan said, “We understand that being in the spotlight brings pressure. Our job is to focus on the game and answer critics through our performance.”
