In a stunning development, ticket prices for the highly anticipated Pakistan vs. India match in the 2023 Cricket World Cup have surpassed a staggering two crore rupees. This surge in demand underscores the immense enthusiasm for the upcoming mega-event, set to run from October 5th to November 19th, attracting cricket aficionados from across the globe.
According to reports from Indian media outlets, the hosting of the tournament in India promises an electrifying cricket spectacle for fans. However, the skyrocketing demand for tickets has left many cricket enthusiasts without access to this thrilling experience.
The match between arch-rivals Pakistan and India, scheduled for October 14th at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium, naturally garnered the most attention. Primary ticket sales for this high-voltage encounter made available at specific outlets on two dates, namely August 29th and September 3rd, and quickly snapped up within just an hour.

Nevertheless, some ticket resale websites still had inventory, albeit at jaw-dropping prices. Tickets for the South Premium East Three Section for the Pakistan vs. India clash sold at a staggering 21 lakhs INR, and the final two tickets at the top tier priced at a whopping 50 lakhs INR. To put this in perspective, the latter translates to over 1 crore 84 lakhs in Pakistani Rupees.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued a statement affirming its acknowledgment of the ticket demand for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. Following consultations with state cricket associations, the BCCI has announced the release of approximately 400,000 tickets for the tournament.
This initiative aims to ensure maximum participation of passionate cricket fans and guarantee their presence at this historic event.
