There is good news for Women’s cricket as Pakistan improved its ranking in the ICC Women’s Championship.
In ICC Women’s Championship, Pakistan is now on the 5th position. The improvement came after green shirt leveled the Pak Vs SA ODI series by 1-1.
Pakistan is now placed at 5th position with 15 points from as many games with a net run rate of -0.23. Pakistan is one point clear of New Zealand whereas West Indies is ranked at 7th spot with 11 points.
Pakistan women cricket team has enjoyed a great journey so far and if they continue to play well and end up in top 4, barring New Zealand, they will get a direct spot for ICC Women’s World Cup to be held in New Zealand in 2021. According to the format, every team will play 3 matches ODI series against all 8 participating teams on a home and away basis.
Earlier, Sana Mir also broke the record for most wickets and became the most successful women’s ODI spinner.
She’s just taken her 147th ODI wicket meaning that she now has more wickets in the format than any other female spinner in history 👏 👏
