Javed Miandad Declared Healthy, Discharged After Cardiac Checkup

Javed Miandad, the Pakistani cricketing legend, has been released after the cardiac check-up after experiencing discomfort in his chest. After administering medical checks, doctors took the former captain to be cleared to come home.
Reports indicate that the 68 year old visited the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) in Karachi, to have a regular medical checkup. Medical personnel conducted thorough checks as a precautionary step, such as angiography, to check his condition.
The angiography results were said to be satisfactory and Miandad was found to be healthy as per hospital sources. Physicians prescribed the medicine and recommended that he has rest as part of the recovery formula. Leaving the hospital in front of the press, Miandad said that he was satisfied with the treatment and facilities of NICVD. In a video message, he had stated that he felt significantly better, and he was optimistic about his health.
“I am feeling much better. As long as the prayers of the nation are with me, I will continue to get better, and better, Miandad smiled. He further appreciated how the Sindh government and the hospital staff offered quality medical care.
Javed Miandad is considered one of the greatest batsmen of Pakistan and is the Test captain of the national team through his brilliant playing career. His visit to hospital briefly raised eyebrows among his fans, who are however assured that his health is alright by the doctors.
