Lasith Malinga announced to quit one day cricket

The last ODI match of Lasith Malinga will be against Bangladesh.

Sad news for Lasith Malinga fans, as he announced his retirement from ODI cricket. Lasith Malinga took his debut in 2004 and gave many nail biting and cherishing moments to cricket fans and is undoubtedly among the best bowler, in the cricket history, with his massive performance in the cricket grounds when he hits the stump and all the fans applaud when he takes the wickets. These are the moments which are surely going to be missed whenever Sri Lanka is going to play an ODI series against any team.

Taking over 500 international wickets to his name, Lasith Malinga proved that he has been Sri Lanka’s best bowler. He has taken three ODI hat tricks, any of the bowlers in cricket history had taken, of which two were in the World Cup.   He has taken 97 wickets in T20 innings and is the third highest wicket taker in the World Cups that is (56). Malinga had contributed his 15 years of his dedication and hard work in the cricket and is inspiration of many who wanted to pursue their career in bowling. Indeed it is going to be a loss for Sri Lankan cricket board in ODI.
