Muhammad Amir Left Training Camp for Upcoming Test Series


Lahore: A total of 25 players of the Pakistani National Cricket Team visited Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore to prepare for England and Ireland test series. In the first session, all the players became part of the training camp, besides Mohammad Abbas. In the session, players participated in fitness drills while focusing on fielding practice. The second session started at two o’clock in the afternoon, where fast bowler Muhammad Amir was absent from the ground.

Details of the Training Camp

According to the PCB Media Department, Muhammad Amir did not attend the second session of the camp due to being unwell. Mohammad Amir, who is suffering from a stomach pain, did not come to attend the camp during second half. In the training camp, Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq and members of the selection committee observed the performance of players closely. While leading the training camp head coach Mickey Arthur, Batting coach Grant Flowers, Bowling coach Azhar Mahmood and Fielding coach Steve Rickson continued to monitor the performance of the players.

The training camp of 25 members of the national team will continue till 15th April. After which, the team will be shortlisted, while the national team will be announced on April 16 for Test matches against England and Ireland. After which the regular camp of national players will begin from 17th to 21st, and the team will depart on April 23rd.
