Pak Vs Ban series may be called off due to Coronavirus

The future of upcoming Pak Vs Ban series is in trouble. Bangladesh Cricket Board is thinking to call off the tour of Pakistan after the coronavirus cases reported in Pakistan.

The first case of coronavirus was reported at the end of the last month till now more than 5 confirmed in Pakistan.

Bangladesh Cricket team’s visit to Pakistan is divided into three parts. The first two parts is based on a T20 series played in January at Lahore and a Test match played in February at Rawalpindi.

However, the third part of the tour is planned to be played at Karachi after winding up the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020, which includes an ODI and a Test match.

If Bangladesh makes a decision to call off the tour, Pakistan’s hard work to bring back international cricket would get a significant hit. Previously, BCB had shown fear over the security situation in Pakistan. However, those were tackled and cleared when BCB officials personally visited Pakistan.

The Health Ministry of Pakistan has taken several measures to stop the coronavirus in Pakistan. Pakistan was the last country to confirm a coronavirus case when all of its neighbors had already reported various cases.
