Pakistan Beat Sri Lanka by 23 Runs in Women’s Asia Cup T20


Kuala Lumpur: Pakistan beat Sri Lanka in the 2018 Women’s Asia Cup T20.

Pakistan’s women team outclassed Sri Lankan team and won the 2018 Women’s Asia Cup T20 match by 23 runs.

The match was played at Kinrara Academy Oval where Pakistan gave the target of 137 runs to the Sri Lankan team. Captain Bismah Maroof played the blasting innings of 60 runs and remained not out. Nahida Khan also displayed her batting skills by scoring 38 off 34 balls. They made a 60 runs partnership for the second wicket where Bisma hit 7 fours while Nida hit 3 fours and 1 six.

However, Sri Lanka just scored 113 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Nida Dar demolished the Sri Lankan batting line and took three crucial wickets.

Sri Lanka and Pakistan won two of their three contests in Women’s Asia Cup T20. However, Sri Lanka has a better run rate than Pakistan. Pakistan will play its next match on Thursday with the host Malaysia.
