T20 World Cup: Iftikhar Ahmed’s confidence boosted by Babar Azam

Iftikhar Ahmed, an all-rounder for the Pakistan cricket team on Wednesday said, Babar Azam, boosted Ahmed’s lost confidence in an inspirational talk after Pakistan was defeated by India in a T20 World cup.

Thursday in Perth will see Pakistan’s next match against Zimbabwe, and Iftikhar warned Pakistan against becoming comfortable in that match. He said, there are international teams that will be taken as an international teams and the team will give 100%.

On Sunday in a most awaited match of the T20 World Cup, Ahmed score a half-century. Ahmed said it is hurtful when any team loses a match. Adding further that Babar Azam, the captain spoke to all after the match and that boosted our confidence and lifted us to work more hard.

Ahmed added, he has always given his best for his role and the team’s success regardless of what circumstances. Whether it’s one or ten balls, all balls are played for team unity. Anyone who is in the middle order wants to score more and more runs.

Further, Iftikhar said he is improving his reverse and sweep shots as these will help him in further matches. Ahmed said he takes criticism positively. No one should be suggested to bat as everyone has their style of batting, sweeping shots or any other suggestion should be avoided, Ahmed added.
