The decision regarding the posting of Pakistan cricket team head coach is expected in the coming days. However, according to reports, Saqlain Mushtaq is the strong candidate for ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
The roles of permanent coaches are vacant since Waqar Younus and Misbah-ul-Haq resigned from their posts. However, they had the differences with PCB or Pakistan Cricket Board management previous month.
After that, the PCB chairman Ramiz Raja appointed the former South African bowler Vernon Philander and Australian opener Matthew Hayden as consultant coaches for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 scheduled in UAE.
