Wavell Hinds wants International Cricket in Pakistan

The former West Indies cricketer and the current President of West Indies Players Association, Wavell Hinds, after the West Indies cricket tour said that playing cricket in Pakistan is very important for International cricket and cricket world. The retired cricketer exclaimed the importance of this tour and said that even though they lost, they were able bring smiles to the international cricket fans in Pakistan, which over all fulfills the aim they had come for all along.

His views on the loss of the series:

Wavell Hinds said that the performance of their team was not as expected, even though there were many good players on the squad, but flying from their country to Pakistan and directly going to the cricket field might have been a factor behind the poor performance. He said the players are hurt about losing but they were able to give Pakistan cricket fans something to be happy about which is a success in itself.

He said that playing International cricket in Pakistan will be beneficial for the whole International Cricket scene. He said that their team was very warmly received by the fans and the Government provided them with enough security. Wavell said that the Pakistani people and the Government will only improve cricket in the country from now. The success of Pakistan Super League also played an important role for this.
