Women’s Asia Cup T20: Pakistan Beat Malaysia by 147 runs

Kuala Lumpur: Pakistan beat Malaysia with the huge margin of 147 runs in the Women’s Asia Cup T20. Pakistan also got top position on the points table.

Pakistan’s team crushed the weak opponent Malaysia and won the Women’s Asia Cup T20 match by 147 runs.

Pakistan scored 177 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Nahida Khan got out early but captain Bismah Maroof and Nida Dar played great innings. They scored 62 runs on 37 balls and 41 runs on 27 balls respectively. Their fourth wicket stand of 85 runs assisted Pakistan to reach the huge total of 177/5.


In reply, the Malaysian side just scored 30 runs in 18.4 overs. Nida Dar also showed great performance with ball. However, she claimed four wickets by conceding just five runs. The win with huge margin also placed Pakistan on the top most position.

Pakistan won three of their four contests in Women’s Asia Cup T20 and has a net run rate of 2.602. Pakistan will play its next match with the arch rival India on June 9.

There are six teams including host Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, India, and Sri Lanka are participating in the Women’s Asia Cup T20. However, Pakistan has already played two finals of the event.
