Yasir Shah 200 Test Wickets: Leg spinner broke the 82 year old record

Abu Dhabi: The Pakistani leg spinner broke the record that was unbeatable from 1936.

With Yasir Shah 200 test wickets, the leg spinner became the fastest man by taking 200 wickets in just 33 tests. However, record was previously held by Australian leg-spinner Clarrie Grimmett who achieved the milestone in 1982 during his 36th test.

Yasir Shah made the record by taking the wicket of Somerville. Up till, New Zealand scored 65 runs for the loss of four wickets. However, they still need 9 runs to overcome the lead.


Yesterday, Pakistan was bowled on 348 after both Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq scored centuries. Somerville took four wickets for New Zealand. However, Pakistan lost their last seven wickets for just 62 runs.

Kiwis won the first Pak Vs NZ test by 4 runs. However, green shirts bounced back in the second test by the huge victory of innings and 16 runs.
