Zalmi Foundation provided complete Cricket Gear (on ICC standards) to Turkish Women Cricket Team. The Turkish Women Cricket Team expressed their heartfelt gratitude for Zalmi Foundation?s support.
Founded as a not-for-profit initiative of Peshawar Zalmi (the PSL franchise), the Zalmi Foundation is dedicated to skills development and competence building. Sports is one of the main areas in which Zalmi Foundation is working among its other impact areas: education, health, tourism, and responsible citizenship.
Zalmi Foundation aims to encourage cricket in non-cricketing nations. An MoU with the Turkish Cricket Federation was signed in 2018, after which Turkish players were trained, mentored, and eventually became a part of the Peshawar Zalmi Squad. Zalmi Foundation is creating a global revolution by supporting women in sports and providing them with equipment and scholarships.
When the Turkish Women Cricket Federation reached out to Zalmi Foundation to seek help and assistance, under the previously signed MoU, Zalmi Foundation wholeheartedly extended its support to the Turkish Women Cricket. Zalmi Foundation provided premium quality cricket gear on ICC standards to promote cricket in Turkey and the region.
The Turkish Women Cricket team will play a match in Spain and are also scheduled to participate in the next T20 World Cup. With this partnership, the Zalmi Foundation hopes to see more women playing sport across the world. Zalmi Foundation aims to empower women & underrepresented communities, bridge societies, and build communal and individual competence through sports.
