Punjab’s Sports Minister Malik Faisal Ayub has announced the construction of the best boxing club in Pakistan at the Nishtar Park Sports Complex in Lahore. This will be the largest boxing club in Pakistan, setting new standards for the sport nationwide.
The announcement made during a high-level meeting where key stakeholders discussed the future of boxing and other sports in the region. The minister confirmed that the Sports Board Punjab will lead the project and build what expected the most advanced boxing club in Pakistan.
Boxing Club in Pakistan to Unite Athletes from All Regions
Speaking at the meeting, Malik Faisal Ayub emphasized that the upcoming boxing club in Pakistan will bring together athletes from across the country. Players from Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir will travel to Lahore to participate in matches, while Punjab’s athletes will also play in other provinces, promoting sports integration at a national level.
He added, “This initiative is not just about infrastructure. It’s about creating unity and equal opportunities for all players in the country. We’re proud to say this will be the best boxing club in Pakistan in terms of size, facilities, and accessibility.”
Collaboration with Federal Government and Bangladesh
The federal Secretary of Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) also briefed the meeting on current sports plans. He revealed that the federal government will build a sports complex in Faisalabad and expand sports collaborations with Bangladesh.
It was also decided that sports delegations between Pakistan and Bangladesh exchanged and that athletes will play matches in both countries — a move expected to strengthen international sports relations.
Why This Will Be the Best Boxing Club in Pakistan
With modern equipment, international-level rings, and training facilities, the upcoming complex in Lahore will stand out as the best boxing club in Pakistan. This initiative is part of a broader effort to uplift the standard of sports across provinces and attract young talent to boxing.
