Cristiano Ronaldo will take on Morocco on Wednesday following his spectacular hat-trick in Portugal’s opening match. Spain will play Iran in Group B match.

Cristiano Ronaldo, five-time world player of the year, gained an inspiring treble against Spain in the heat of Sochi on Friday in Russia 2018´s stand-out match so far.

Speaking to media, Cristiano Ronaldo said, “I´m very happy, it´s a nice personal record to have, one more in my career. For me the most important thing is to emphasize what the team did against one of the favorites to win this World Cup.”

Spanish team moves to Kazan to face Iran still struggling because of a chaotic run-up to the tournament.  Julen Lopetegui was the sensational star to make a difference.

Former international defender Fernando Hierro is now at the wheel but barely a week into the tournament Spain. He is expected to join Brazil, Germany and France in the latter games. More action is expected in upcoming games.

Midfielder Isco said, “It´s a crucial match that will determine our World Cup destiny.”

“We want to score from the opening minute, even though that won´t be easy.”

Iran started their FIFA world cup campaign with a 1-0 win against Morocco. One goal was scored by Aziz Bouhaddouz, piling the pressure on Spain at Kazan Arena on Wednesday.

Iran is on top of the list of Group B so far with a single win. This victory has sparked celebrations across the country and streets of Tehran.

According to Coach Carlos Queiroz, Iran now face one of the biggest challenges in their World Cup history, but maintains they can “make the impossible possible”.

Commenting on the clash between two teams, the former coach of Real Madrid said, “If the game against Morocco was the World Cup final for us, the game against Spain will be the Universe Cup final.”

For facts, Iran has never beaten a European side at a World Cup tournament. Their previous victory was a 2-1 win over the United States in France in 1998.

Morocco need to recover from their painful defeat against Iran but Portugal and Ronaldo in particular pose Herve Renard´s men a monumental challenge at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium.

The match begins at 15:00 local time.
