Rafael Nadal and Simona Halep took place in the quarter-finals of the French Open 2018. However, Serena Williams pulled out of the Grand Slam tournament because of injury. Rafael Nadal beat the Maximilian Marterer 6-3, 6-2 and 7-6 (4). He did the series of consecutive completed sets won in the French Open to 37. World champion Simona Halep went on to win the French Open quarterfinals for the second time on Monday, beating Belgian Elise Mertens 6-2, 6-1 in the fourth round.
Serena Williams suffered pectoral muscle injury shortly after the fourth round of the French Open against Maria Sharapova. She has played a few games since returning maternity leave this year, but three times the Roland Garros champion looked good in his quest for a 24 Grand Slam championship.
Serena Williams said that right now she has some muscle problems and she cannot serve it now, as it’s hard to play.
