Saudi Arabia Will Host Formula E World Championship Race in December


RIYADH: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is all set to host the round of Formula E World Championship for the first time. The venue of the next season will be street circuit in the capital of Riyadh.

The Formula E Championship race will be held in December. This will be the first appearance of the electric car racing series in the Middle East. This will be a milestone as it is the latest in a line of recent international events debuting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This event is organized following the latest modernized reforms of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

According to the series Founder and President Alejandro Agag, “Bringing racing to Riyadh for the first round of the new season is the perfect setting for the next phase of the FIA Formula E Championship.”

He also believed that Saudi Arabia has the potential to become the venue of international events of this sort. Considering the latest modernized reforms, the nation is accepting the change gradually.

Mr. Agag also expressed, “An exciting and vibrant country that is focusing on its future, Saudi Arabia will be the ideal venue to mark the competitive debut of the next generation Formula E cars.”
