Ufone 4G presents Zalmi Women League started in Peshawar with a colorful opening ceremony.

Three matches were played on the first day of the Ufone 4G Presents Zalmi Women League, organized by Peshawar Zalmi, Zalmi Foundation, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government and Higher Education Department (KPCVE).

The first Ufone 4G Presents Zalmi Women League got off to a colorful start in Peshawar’s Hayatabad Sports Complex. The official inauguration was done by Provincial Sports Minister Syed Fakhar Jahan, Provincial Education Minister Meena Khan Afridi, Provincial Minister for Jails Humayun Khan, Director Cricket Peshawar Zalmi Muhammad Akram and Secretary Higher Education Kamran Afridi.

In the opening match, Hazara Daffodils beat Bannu Renegades by 30 runs, while Peshawar Thunderbolts defeated Mardan Mavericks by 6 runs in the 2nd match. The 3rd match between Peshawar All Stars and Hazara Daffodils was stopped due to bad light and both teams were awarded one point each.

Speaking at the ceremony, Provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Syed Fakhr Jahan said that he is grateful to Peshawar Zalmi for organizing the Ufone 4G Presents Zalmi Women League for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The KP Government and Peshawar Zalmi will also organize sports events together in the future as well.

Director Cricket Peshawar Zalmi Muhammad Akram said that he is very happy that the Ufone 4G Presents Zalmi Women League started in Peshawar, he is very hopeful that like men’s cricket Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will produce some great talent in Pakistan women cricket.

Muhammad Akram said that the mission of Peshawar Zalmi and Zalmi Foundation Chairman Javed Afridi is to continue providing healthy activities to the youth of Peshawar.

He also thanked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government for their cooperation. On this occasion, Provincial Minister for Higher Education Meena Khan Afridi said that Peshawar Zalmi has always supported highlighting the talent of the province and hoped that such activities will be organized in the future as well.
