There is good news for Pakistanis as CJP Saqib Nisar said that there will be no taxes on mobile balance.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar said that taxes on mobile balance will not be implemented till the next order. He said that there is an impression that mobile taxes are just temporarily suspended and they will re-implement soon. He further added that taxes on mobile balance will not come until the next order.
Mobile taxes in Pakistan were suspended on June 13. In addition, a court hearing was expected within this week about the future of mobile taxes. According to sources, the hearing date is not decided yet and the taxes will remain suspended till the new order.
However, the court directed Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) about the matter. The court ordered FBR to submit the proposal that how government can charge taxes on mobile balance with relieving people who do not come under the taxable income.
FBR will submit the solution in the next hearing. However, people will get full mobile balance till the issuance of new order about mobile taxes.
